Personalized Pick-Up & A Picturesque Start in Amarante

Your day begins with a luxury pick-up from your accommodation, setting off toward the charming village of Amarante. Nestled along the banks of the Tâmega River, this historic town is home to the magnificent Church of Saint Gonçalo and a beautifully preserved medieval center. As you stroll through its cobbled streets, you’ll indulge in traditional Portuguese pastries, renowned for their delightful sweetness and artisanal craftsmanship.

Adega de Favaios – Muscatel Wine Tasting and Visit

Located at 550 meters of altitude, the grandeur of Favaios reveals itself in a stunning plateau of vineyards and schist walls. In this experience, you will take a guided tour to the Adega de Favaios, with the main goal of showing you how the Muscatel is made in a relaxed environment, located in one of the most beautiful and remote regions of the old world, the Douro.

Traditional Bakery – Manuela Barriguda

The Favaios traditional bread prepared by Manuela Barriguda sells an average of 400 a day. The bakery, one of eight still in operation, is located in Favaios and it is over 100 years old. Work here starts very early. Come and taste one of the most delicious handmade bread  and discover the local communities stories.

Lunch and Wine Tasting at Renowned Wine Estate

Arriving at the Wine Estate, prepare for a gastronomic journey that brings together traditional Portuguese flavors and organic farm-to-table ingredients. Dine alfresco on the estate’s terrace, where the breathtaking views of the Douro River and vineyards enhance every bite, making this an experience of pure magic.

Pinhão – Wine Picturesque Village  

Next, we continue to Pinhão, a historic wine village located along the right bank of the Douro River. Here, you’ll visit the renowned 19th-century railway station, where hand-painted azulejo tiles illustrate the centuries-old tradition of Port wine production.

Rabelo Traditional Wooden Boat Cruise 

At the Pinhão docks, your Rabelo Douro cruise awaits for an exclusive one-hour river cruise. Glide effortlessly through the Douro’s  waters, surrounded by rolling vineyard terraces and golden hillsides, as you sip on a fine glass of Port wine.

Your captain will guide you through this breathtaking landscape, sharing the rich history and secrets of the valley’s winemaking heritage.

São Leonardo da Galafura– The finest Douro Viewpoint

For jaw-dropping views of the Douro Valley, head for this magnificent viewpoint between Régua and Pinhão. The N313-2 relentlessly switchbacks its way into the hills northeast from Régua, arriving a half-hour later at the overlook (640m), where the valley’s full sweep spreads out before you, the Douro snaking off into the distance between kilometres of steeply terraced vineyards.
