ITINERARY

After collecting our travelers on accomodation, we continue our wine tour to the city of Vila Real, to visit an impressive and world known family wine estate, Casa de Mateus. You will try the most recognized rosé wine brand in the world and discover its origin and wine process. Since 1744, Casa de Mateus has been a landmark in the regional landscape, with its baroque grandeur and a collection that offers a unique perspective on the last few centuries of Portugal’s history and its relationship with the world. Discover the House, its magical gardens and vineyards, accompanied by an audio guide, in a relax and quite atmosphere.

After visiting this stunning wine palace, we continue our tour to visit and lunch in one of the emblematic wine estates of the Douro region, and considered one of the world´s best vineyards,  Quinta da Pacheca. Located in Lamego, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, a true combination of Douro traditional flavours, in a wine, sensory and educational experience.

After lunch we will be visiting the wine village of Pinhão, located on the right bank of the Douro River. Among the main heritage is the Railway Station, built during the 19th century and well known for its tiles depicting the production of Port wine.

On Pinhão docks it is waiting for you a private vintage wooden boat for a relaxing douro river cruise. It will be a 2h experience to explore the unique landscape of this charming valley with a glass of Port included. A captain will be at your service to shuttle you around the river and share all of the most important facts.

On the way back, driving through the mountains we will visit ,we will stop at S. Leonardo da Galafura viewpoint for photos and make memories together.

After the viewpoint we will drop you at your accommodation.
