ITINERARY

We start the wine tour, by picking you up at your accommodation, we invite you to visit the region where Alvarinho Caste is produced and be delighted by its fresh wines, picturesque villages, and welcoming people.

Our first destination will be one of the oldest Roman settlements in Portugal, Ponte de Lima and considered the oldest portuguese village. You will witness the Roman influence in its beautiful arched bridge that spans the Lima River. Here we will visit the Vinho Verde where you will have the first Alvarinho wine tasting and contact with local wine culture.

After the visit, we will drive to Monção, where you will discover a magnificent XIX-century palace and also a prestigious wine estate, Palácio da Brejoeira. You will visit the interior, the gardens, vineyards, old wineries and taste the prestigious and awarded Alvarinho wine, Palácio da Brejoeira.

Our Alvarinho wine tour continues to Melgaço, the northernmost municipality in Portugal. Here we will visit one of the World´s Best Vineyards. You will have a delicious regional lunch paired with the wines created by this wine estate that will awaken your senses. After lunch we will visit the infusion fields and the cellar.

Then, with our energies restored, we will explore the family wine estate in Monção, where you will walk through the vineyards and discover the wine traditions.

After the visit we will drop you at your accommodation.
